"A" League Standings - May 31st

The St. Marys took their first defeat last Sunday when Fancher defeated them 6-3. Both Nayman and DiPalma pitched brilliant ball, DiPalma having the edge. Fancher took the lead and were never headed. This victory allows Fancher to go into a tie for first place. Cono DiPalma and A. DeCarlo featured for the Fancher team while J. Naymand and Avino looked best for the Saints.

"A" League Standings - June 7th

St. Marys pushed Holley out of a first place tie when they defeated them 13-12 in 11 innings. St. Mary's took the lead and were never headed until the 9th when Holley tied the game at 12 all. Finally in the 11th the Saints scored a run and Holley went down to defeat. Both teams smashed out 17 hits. Rago and Kewin hit hard for the losers and Starch and Pawlaczyk hit hard for the winners.

St. Mary's Takes 1st Place in "A" League

Lyndonville nearly pulled a surprise in the Orleans County League Sunday when they held the strong St. Mary's team to a 6-2 win. Bayne and Skinner hurled nice ball for the [losers], and they only had one bad inning, the 3rd, when St. Mary's scored 4 runs. From then on the St. Mary's was never headed. Sledzinski led the hitting attack for St. Mary's and L. Rowley hit the hardest for Lyndonville.

St. Mary's continued their winning ways when they defeated Kendall 7-4. Kendall held the lead for 3 innings and from then on St. Mary's overcome and held the lead. Both pitchers had good control. Nayman striking out 7 batters and Manarel 5. Both pitchers walked but 1 man. T. Avino and Pawlaczyk led St. Mary.s hitting attack and R. Manarel it hard for Kendall.
