Lorraine M. Boccaccio "Puffy", 83, formerly of Oak Orchard Estates, died Tuesday, June 19, 2007 at the Orleans County Nursing Home. She was born on May 29, 1924 in Albion, NY to John and Mary (Gurzynski) Rice and has been a lifetime resident of the area. A devoted wife and mother, Lorraine was a very active member of St. Mary's Church, where she served as a Greeter and Eucharistic Minister. She was also a member of the Rosary Society and volunteered at the Orleans County Nursing Home. Lorraine was also active with the Genesee Orleans Ministry of Concern and in her spare time enjoyed reading.

She is survived by her husband William "Bill", whom she married on April 12, 1047. They recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. Also surviving are a son, Gary (Fran) Boccaccio of Elba; 3 Grandchildren, Scott Boccaccio of Rochester, Jeffrey (Nicole) Mudrzynski of Batavia, Jennifer (John) Gang of Williamsville; 1 Great Granddaughter Mary Gang; 1 brother, Leonard (Lucille) Rice of Medina; 3 sisters, Joanne (Donald) D'Andrea of Holley, Virginia DiFilips of Holley, Patricia (Carl) Sargent of Albion; 2 Brothers in law, Harold Boccaccio of Amherst, Ray Boccaccio of FL; many nieces, nephews, and friends. She is predeceased by a brother John Rice.

There will be no calling hours. Family and friends are invited to attend her mass of Christian burial on Saturday, June 23, 2007 at 10:00am at St. Mary's Church. Burial will be in Mt. Albion Cemetery. Flowers are gratefully declined. Memorials may be made to Paws or Genesee-Orleans Ministry of Concern.
