William J. Boccaccio "Bill", 87, passed away on Friday, February 12, 2010 at the Villages of Orleans. He was born in Albion, NY a son of Josepg and Lena Boccaccio and has been a lifetime resident here. Bill was a Radio Operator in the U.S. Army during World War II, a member of St. Mary's Assumption Church, St. Mary's Club and the Niagara-Orleans Senior Golf League. During the late 1950's, he was the coach of St. Mary's little league team. Bill was predeceased by his wife Lorraine. He is survived by a son Gary (Fran) Boccaccio of Elba; 3 Grandchildren, Scott Boccaccio of Rochester, Jeffrey (Nicole) Mudrzynski of Batavia; Jennifer (John) Gang of WIlliamsville; 2 Great Grandchildren, Mary and John Gang; sister in laws, Virginia De Fillips of Holley, Joann D'Andrea of Holley, Patricia (Carl) Sargent of Albion, Lucille Rice of Medina; Nieces and Nephews. He was predeceased by brothers Harold and Raymond Boccaccio.

There will be no calling hours. A mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:00am, on Thursday, February 18, 2010 at St. Mary's Church on Brown Rd. Military honors will follow after mass. Reverend Richard Czismar will be officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Albion at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to PAWS or The Genesee-Orleans Ministry of Concern.
