Albion - Irene R. Ochrim, 98, passed away June 18, 2008 at the Villages of Orleans Health. She was born on May 16, 1910 in Albion to Stanley and Anna Rice, and has been a lifetime resident of the area. She was employed at Eastman Kodak for over 25 years before retiring and was a member of St. Mary's Church in Albion. Irene enjoyed gardening, sewing, knitting and was known for her cheesecakes.

She was predeceased by her husband Edward in 1985. She is survived by a daughter, Deborah (John) Melville of Webster; 2 Grandchildren, Alex and Patrice Melville; brother, Leonard Rice of Albion; sister, Mary Coveney of Albion; sister in law, Rose Rice of Albion; many nieces and nephews.

There will be no calling hours. Family and friends are invited to a mass of Christian burial at Holy Family Parish-St. Mary's Oratory in Albion on Friday, June 20, 2008 at 10am, with Rev. Richard Csizmar officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery on Brown St. Memorials in Irene's name would be appreciated to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 502 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
