Albion - Prayer services were held today at Christopher-Mitchell Funeral Home Inc., 21 West Ave., for Stanley Paul Kaniecki, at 9:30am. Mr. Kaniecki, 67, of Chamberlain Street, died Friday at his residence.

A mass of Christian burial was held at 10am at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, followed by military services held at graveside at Mount Albion Cemetery.

Mr. Kaniecki was born in Albion in 1913 and had attended Albion High School. He was a member of St. Joseph's Church of Albion, a life member of Albion Fire Dept., member of Hook and Ladder Co., member of VFW of Albion, and member of St. Mary's Athletic Association. He had served with Co. A, 35th Engineer Heavy Pontoon Battalion during World War II in the European Theater, and was a retired foreman of Hunt's Food Co. of Albion.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Catherine Dewey of Albion, Mrs. Joann Monacelli; two brothers, Edward Zwifka of Buffalo, Thomas Roshinski of Massachusetts; one sister, Mrs. Eleanor Knight; one sister-in-law, Dorothy Zwifka of Albion; one brother-in-law, Howard Barry of Waterport; three granddaughters; one grandson; one uncle, Joseph Kaniecki, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
