Nayman, Francis S. (1938-2014)

Francis S. Nayman

ALBION) Francis S. Nayman, age 76 of Brown Road, died suddenly on December 12, 2014. He was born January 24, 1938 in Albion to Frank and Marie Romanowski Nayman and was a lifetime resident of this area. Mr. Nayman was a Veteran of the United States Air Force Reserves, a member of Holy Family Parish, a graduate of RIT, and retired as an Engineer from RG&E. Fran was the Owner/Operator of Nayman's Garage since 1959 and was a well know figure in Local Democratic Politics having served many years on the Orleans County Democratic Committee.

As a Public Servant, he served on the Orleans County Board of Supervisors in the late 70's and then served as an Orleans County Legislator for 1 term in the early 80's. Mr. Nayman also served as a Village of Albion Trustee, and for many years held the Office of Supervisor for the Town of Albion. Fran was also a former member of the Oak Orchard Yacht Club where he taught boating and was very active in his community on various committees and in many organizations including the Albion Fire Department Hart Hose Company. He truly enjoyed socializing and spending time with people as well as helping out where and when he could. He is survived by his cousins: Donald (Florence) Skinner of Batavia, Robert (Jane) Skinner of FL and John Nayman formerly of Brockport.

Mrs. Teresa M. Parada, of Medina, passed away on Saturday, September 27, 2014 at the Buffalo General Hospital. Mrs. Parada was born at home on Laurel Street in Medina, October 11, 1932, a daughter of the late Francis and Rose (Wieczorek) Pahura. A graduate of Medina High School, class of 1951, she worked at A & P before her marriage to John W. Parada on May 15, 1954.

Marciniak, David V. (1926-2014)

Mr. David V. Marciniak, of Medina, passed away on Monday, September 8, 2014 at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Buffalo. Mr. Marciniak was born in Medina, February 7, 1926, a son of the late George and Esther (Lenhart) Marciniak. On November 16, 1946, he married the former Cecile M. LaChance. He served in the US Army during WWII in the European Theatre under General George Patton. He was awarded the Bronze Star and Conspicuous Service Cross.

Matthew R. Jozwiak, 54, of Ridgewood Drive and formerly of Albion, died suddenly June 12, 2013, in Eastern Niagara Hospital in Lockport. He was born June 2, 1959, in Albion to John and Jean (Levandowski) Jozwiak. He lived in the Lockport area for the past 5 years. Matthew was a member of Holy Family Parish, the St. Mary’s Athletic Club and enjoyed fishing, boating and antique-tractor pulls. Mr. Jozwiak will be remembered as “Mr. Fix-It” because he was always tinkering with something.
