Mr. Kurzawski served in the U.S. Army during WWII and was a member of Sheret Post #35 of the American Legion. He was a retired former employee of Duffy-Mott and spent his retirement years enjoying fishing and gardening and going to Christos Diner every day. Bart was also a member of St. Mary's Club in Albion and St. Mary's Archers Club.

A Sunday Drowning Accident

A Polock couple named Quiva (Kujawa), living at Medina, went out in a boat on the canal for a pleasure ride Sunday. They were accompanied by their little son and a young woman. Near Hasting's bridge in turning around a gust of wind capsized the boat. Mrs. Quiva was drowned, but her husband succeeded in saving the boy. The young woman had already left the boat. The drowned woman was about 35 years old.

Funeral services for Ignace Kizielewicz, porter of the Walsh House for the past 18 years, who passed away Wednesday morning at and Albion hispital, will take place Friday morning at 9 o'clock at the Sacred Heart Church. The Reverend Father Dykal will officiate at the last rites. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery.

Kizielewicz, better known as "John" to patrons of the hotel and residents of Medina, was born in Poland. He leaves no known relatives in this country.
