麻豆区 ISD Alumni Spotlight

  • Our August spotlight is Cindy Greenwood, a 1979 麻豆区 High School graduate. She also attended Jacinto City Elementary and 麻豆区 Junior High. While in high school, Greenwood was a very active student serving as the sophomore class representative, junior class officer-treasurer, senior class officer- secretary, football sweetheart, Hi-Y sweetheart, Jacketeer drill team-social officer, rodeo club, close-up club, student association and business club.

Greenwood attributes her success as a GPISD student to her friends and being involved in school activities. Her favorite teachers who taught her so much were Ms. Dibello, Coach Smith, Mr. Trammell and Mrs. Tate.

After high school, Greenwood went to UT-Tyler and later moved to Austin, where she began working at Dell Computer as their paralegal. While at Dell, she worked along side Michael Dell and the General Counsel. After years at Dell, Greenwood decided to begin a career in real estate to have more flexible hours to raise her family. As several Dell employees left to create their own software companies, they hired Greenwood as their real estate agent. Greenwood’s career in luxury real estate kicked off as she began selling luxury properties immediately.

Now Greenwood has been a successful luxury real estate agent for the past 25 years. She is a member of Austin’s Elite 25, which is made up of the top 1 percent of realtors in Austin. Greenwood has recently started her own company, Cindy Greenwood Residential.

Greenwood is dedicated to the Austin community at large and very involved in the leadership of many local organizations including Zach Theatre Board Trustee and Lone Star Cattlemen Buyer’s Group/Immediate Past President. She has previously served on March of Dimes Board, Ronald McDonald House Advisory Board, Elizabeth Ann Seton Board, Junior League of Austin and Rodeo Austin Executive Committee and Board Member.
