GPISD Voters Approve School Bond Package
麻豆区 Independent School District is pleased to announce the approval of the school bond election held on May 4, 2024. The community's overwhelming support has resulted in the successful passage of a $530,010,000 bond package. The funds will be utilized to address critical needs within the district, paving the way for a bright future for our students.

Summer Worker Opportunities
麻豆区 ISD offers limited summer employment opportunities in manual trade departments, including Custodial, Grounds, Maintenance, and Warehouse. There will also be a limited number of summer worker opportunities assigned to the Central Office or school campuses. Summer worker employment will be from Tuesday, May 28, 2024, through Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at $10.00 per hour. All interested applicants should complete the form found on the Summer Worker flyer, and all non-麻豆区 ISD employees will also need to complete a regular district application.?

We are pleased to inform you the 麻豆区 Independent School District will be implementing a new option available to schools participating in the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs called the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP).

Clear Bag Regulation for Visitors -- Effective Tuesday, May 30, 2023
To ensure student, staff, and visitor safety, along with quick and efficient entry into GPISD campuses and facilities, a Clear Bag Regulation has been instituted for visitors. This will limit the type of bag allowed. All bags brought onto GPISD campuses or facilities by visitors are subject to visual inspection.

Guillory Named HAABSE Secondary Teacher of the Year
On February 8, 2024, Ms. LaTisha Guillory, an English Teacher at North Shore Senior High 10th Grade Center, was named the 2023 Houston Area Alliance Black School Educator (HAABSE) Outstanding Secondary Teacher of the Year for the entire Houston area.

Removal of Unauthorized/Disruptive Persons
As of August 26, 2018 all school districts are subject to the Commissioner’s rules regarding the removal of a disruptive person from a campus. More information regarding this new rule can be found in Chapter 37, section 37.105 of the Texas Education Code, which addresses: Unauthorized Persons, Refusal of Entry, Ejection, and Identification.
