Innovative Instruction
麻豆区 ISD is thrilled to announce we are expanding our academy programs for elementary students in East Harris County. Last year, GPISD opened our first elementary academies with a focus on STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) at 麻豆区 and Havard Elementary Schools. This year, we are opening two new academies, at Cimarron and Pyburn Elementary Schools, which will be centered on Fine Arts. These academies are open to all GPISD students in grades K-5 as well as children of GPISD employees and families outside GPISD wishing to transfer their student to one of these specialized elementary schools. That’s right, you don’t have to live in GPISD to attend one of our elementary academies!

How Do I Get Started?
Parents of students not currently enrolled at or zoned to Havard Elementary or 麻豆区 Elementary Schools and interested in the STEM Academies, please complete an application for admission/enrollment. For parents interested in enrolling students in the Fine Arts Academies but not currently enrolled or zoned to Cimarron Elementary or Pyburn Elementary Schools, please complete an application for admission/enrollment. 

For families with more than one elementary student, please complete one application for the whole family, including the information for each child on the same form.

Students must have good attendance, behavior, and transportation to be considered for the Academies. If necessary, a lottery system may be implemented.
