State Visual Art Scholastic Event

On Friday, April 29, 2022, 17 GALENA PARK ISD visual arts students' artworks were submitted for adjudication in the Texas Art Education Association 2022 State Visual Arts Scholastic Event. 9 entries received a rating of 4, the highest non-Gold Seal rating TAEA bestows at the state level.

Out of all the entries that advance to State VASE, 151 were selected as Gold Seal entries. State VASE Jurors select artworks that represent the goals of VASE and exemplary examples of concept, technique, craftsmanship, and creativity in student artwork. Students selected as Gold Seal winners receive a Gold State Medallion, and their artwork will be exhibited in a variety of venues across the state, culminating with the Gold Seal Exhibition at the annual TAEA Fall Conference.
